We had the most amazing hosts at this location!! Rhonda & Joe have an amazing farm in the Ouachita Mountains with several acres of farm consisting of cows, donkey, chickens & a ton of garden products from lettuce, zucchini, spinach to celery and everything in between plus all herbs you can think of. Their hospitality was amazing as they welcomed us to stay on their farm and we paid the extra $15 pp fir the farm fresh breakfast which we enjoyed IN their home with them! We had the best frittata ever, all products from their farm. Rhonda is an amazing cook and baker and is constantly making fresh sour dough bread, pound cake & other baked goods. Joe is a West Point Graduate and military veteran and the hardest worker you will ever meet! The sunset over the Ouachita mountains was beautiful last night and the tree frogs came out at sunset and you couldn’t hear anything except the sound of hundreds of frogs all night! This was an amazing harvest host and anyone going thru this area should most definitely stop and stay at this farm if for nothing else but the amazing conversation! This is what America used to look like…. Friendly, hospitable country loving and God-fearing people who welcome others into their home and see the good and beauty in every little thing! We purchased their whole chicken, chicken thighs, sour dough bread and Rhonda's delicious hot sauce! Rhonda shared some if her amazing herbs, celery and spinach and we recreated her frittata while on the road and we smoked the whole chicken we purchased and it was delicious and full of meat! We can’t say enough about New Dawn and the wonderful hosts, Rhonda and Joe. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with such gracious hospitality. We sat on their patio and enjoyed both a wonderful breakfast and a delicious chicken kabob dinner, all from farm fresh ingredients. Also bought Rhonda’s sourdough and pound cake to keep us going. All so yummy. They have many other farm fresh products for sale. We enjoyed talking to our hosts and getting an understanding of how their regenerative farm operates and had fun watching the eclipse together. Sunrises and sunsets were magnificent. Highly recommend a stay at New Dawn, and to take advantage of Rhonda’s great meals. They became new friends and we’ll certainly come back! Lisa P.

I am so happy I found my way to Rhonda and Joe’s farm. It is beautiful and comfortable and the hosts are an inspiring couple. it is wonderful to hear about the thoughtful regenerative farming practices they practice on their beef and chicken farm. Rhonda has excellent homemade and homegrown food items for sale including her wonderful bread, pound cake, hot sauce, herbal tea, and they have eggs and chicken available and soon will have grass-fed beef. everything organic. The area around their farm is lovely and there is a lot of white water adventuring as well as mountain hiking. I spent a very quiet evening and night there and in the morning Rhonda cooked a superb breakfast. I enjoyed my whole stay so much. Highly recommended! Catherine M.
